Eyowo in 2021: Walking the growth path together

2021 is finally here and the year has swung into full action already. 2020 is one year that so many people want to move on from so swiftly. However, it is important that we spare a moment to reflect on the past year just before exploring what 2021 has in store for us.

2020 changed everything

The events of 2020 changed everything for us all as humans. From the pandemic to the civil unrest, we witnessed individuals and businesses struggle with the scary realities of uncertainty and the economic slowdown. Despite all the bumps and bruises that came along in 2020, we achieved foundational milestones as a business. The past year saw us expand the channels through which we serve users — anyone can now pay you from any bank’s mobile app. We also undertook an extensive rediscovery exercise to truly understand what growth means to our users and how to position Eyowo to support them in achieving these growth objectives.

The work ahead in 2021

Our customers are at the center of all we do and we appreciate the trust they have placed in us. We are upgrading our digital channels to provide simplified and easier access to meeting customers’ needs. This year, we are intensifying our support to businesses, particularly MSMEs, with the knowledge and finance they need. Individual customers will also benefit from our improved product offerings and intuitive triggers for rounded financial wellness.

Eyowo Value Centers

To drive more inclusive growth among our customer segments, we will set up value centers to deepen financial access for all users, particularly at the bottom of the pyramid.

Already, we have one of such value centers located at the heart of Lagos Island. It’s our hope that these value centers will serve as a major avenue to get even closer to our customers. On Christmas morning, for instance, we showed up at the Eyowo Value Center in Obalende where we managed to put smiles on a number of faces in our host community. That occasion provided us with more insight into how much more impact we can make in our communities.
